Date Polls

Date polls help your club find a meeting time that works for everyone. The host proposes a few date and time options, and members vote on which ones work for them.

Creating a date poll

  1. Open the read you want to schedule and go to the Date Poll tab.
  2. Add one or more date and time slot options. Each option is a specific date paired with a time of day (morning, afternoon, or evening).
  3. Once you've added your options, members will be able to vote.

Voting on a poll

Each member can mark which date/time options work for them. You can select as many options as you like — the more you select, the easier it is to find a time that works.

You can change your votes at any time before the date is confirmed.

How the date is chosen

The app automatically highlights the option with the most votes. If there's a tie, the earliest date wins. The resolved date appears on the club home page and read detail.

The suggested date is labeled as Tentative until the host confirms it.

Host override

The host can override the poll result and manually set a specific date and time. This is useful when the host needs to account for factors the poll doesn't capture (e.g. venue availability).

Confirming the date

Once the host is happy with the chosen date, they can confirm it from the read detail page. Confirmed dates show a green Confirmed badge on the club home page.

Tips

  • Offer 3–5 options spread across different days and times to maximize participation.
  • Remind members to vote — the poll works best when everyone participates.
  • You can add more options to an existing poll if none of the current options are working.
